Costa Blanca events summer 2026: festivals, fiestas and fireworks
17+ music festivals, fireworks over the sea and a patron-saint fiesta in almost every town — this is what summer sounds like here.

If you’re visiting, this is your agenda. If you’re thinking of buying a home here, it’s something better: an honest snapshot of what normal life looks like from June to September on the Costa Blanca.
A summer with 17+ festivals
Alicante province hosts more than 17 music festivals this summer. Four stand out:
Low Festival — the big news of 2026: after 15 years in Benidorm, the festival has moved to Torrevieja. Indie and electronic music by the sea, in the south of the province.
Área 12 — at Multiespacio Rabasa in Alicante, with a line-up running all summer long. Acts include Dani Martín, Viva Suecia, Hombres G and The Black Crowes.
Rock by the sea in Villajoyosa — ten minutes from Finestrat, featuring M-Clan and La Fúmiga on their farewell tour.
Salmaya Live (Elche) — music and comedy on a unique stage: the Palmeral of Elche, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From indie to classic rock, almost always within an hour’s drive.

Castell de l’Olla: fireworks over the sea, a 20+ year tradition
Rule of thumb: any week of the summer, there’s a fiesta within a 30-minute drive. You don’t need to plan much — just ask at the village bar.
The one not to miss: Castell de l’Olla
If you can only make one event, make it this one. On 9 August, Altea bay goes dark and the sky catches fire: fireworks launched from the sea itself, mirrored in the water, watched by thousands from the beach, the promenades and boats. More than 20 years of tradition, and still the highlight of the summer on the northern Costa Blanca.
What it’s like to live here (not just visit)
This is what surprises our buyers most: none of this is “tourist season” — it’s normal life. Virgen del Carmen is celebrated by the town’s own fishermen; the Moros y Cristianos parades are marched by your neighbours. Living here means August smells of gunpowder and sounds like a pasodoble.
Park far and walk. On big fiesta days (Castell de l’Olla, Moros y Cristianos) the old towns close to traffic.
Book a restaurant well ahead in Altea for 9 August; terraces with a bay view go fast.
Ask the locals. Every town has street parties and communal dinners that never appear in any online listing.
Bring the kids. Fiestas here are family affairs: parades and fireworks are for every age.

“Buying in Spain is safe — if you run the checks in the right order.”
For an international buyer the essentials are: NIE, a Spanish bank account, and an independent lawyer (not the seller’s). Before the deposit we check the nota simple, that there are no charges or debts, licences and the energy certificate. I coordinate the whole process and explain each step in your language so you sign with complete peace of mind.
Asesora inmobiliaria con base en el interior de la Marina Baixa ? Polop, La Nuc?a y Benidorm. Atiende a la comunidad alemana, brit?nica e hispanohablante en su propio idioma.

“Peace of mind lives in the details no one checks.”
I work calmly and methodically. In the interior of the Marina Baixa I see many homes with nuances: a cadastre that doesn’t match, un-legalised extensions, or shared access. I check those details before you fall for the price, so there are no surprises after signing. My job is for you to buy knowing exactly what you’re buying.
